My Top 10 Christian Podcasts

listening to a podcast

Many people who know me well know that I love podcasts! Whether I am working out, cleaning, or getting ready, I am always tuning into a new podcast episode. I enjoy reading books and watching movies but podcasts allow me to multitask. There is a genuine appreciation for being able to hear others' voices about theology or the mundane events in their lives.

If you desire to start listening to podcasts or just want to add more shows to your library, you have come to the right place!

First off, I want to express how important it is for me to be intentional with what I listen to. Not saying everything I consume is Christian but I desire for the majority of my diet to be wholesome. The things we watch, read, and listen to creep their way into our minds and hearts. In fact, the things we dwell on, desire, and do will oftentimes be the result of what we are feeding ourselves.

Looking through the podcasts I follow, I compiled a list of some of my favorites. They are all Christian but I wanted to share a mix in hopes of all of my readers at least finding one they enjoy.

“The things we watch, read, and listen to creep their way into our minds and hearts. In fact, the things we dwell on, desire, and do will oftentimes be the result of what we are feeding ourselves.”

A couple of shows are various sermons from my favorite pastors; another is about politics from an evangelical, conservative perspective. There are also some about everyday life. I desire that these shows will encourage and convict you in the same ways they have impacted me.

So, without further ado, here is my top ten Christian podcast list:

1. Ask Pastor John

In this podcast, John Piper and Tony Reinke provide practical and biblically solid answers to listeners’ questions.

I have huge respect for both of these men as they approach each topic with humility and truth. Personally, I love receiving these wisdom nuggets whenever a new episode releases. Sometimes the question may be about a challenging Bible passage or how to handle secular music or how to be a light in the workforce.

Twice a week a new episode releases and averages around 10-15 minutes in length.

I highly suggest this podcast if you want solid content and it is an excellent choice if you are trying out podcasts for the first time.

2. The Crazy Love Podcasts

This is yet another podcast with one of my favorite pastors—Francis Chan. Most Sunday mornings I usually listen to one of his incredible sermons while I get ready for church.

One of the things I admire most about Chan is his genuine love for the Lord and his longing to know him better. He is authentic and has a deep desire for everyone to love Jesus with all of their heart. His vulnerability and passion for the Scriptures are encouraging and motivate me to grow in my walk with Christ.

This podcast would be a great option if you are looking for motivational sermons to point you to Christ and his Word.

3. Relatable

“Relatable” is by far one of the top podcasts I listen to.

Allie Beth Stuckey is someone I deeply admire and her boldness is inspirational. Stuckey, from an evangelical, conservative viewpoint, talks about all things politics, pop culture, and theology.

I started listening to “Relatable” around the time of the election of 2024. As a Christian who was about to vote for the first time I wanted to be informed with a biblical perspective. Stuckey does an exceptional job speaking the truth with humility and is someone I wish to become. She also has some incredible guests on her show that I enjoy hearing from as well.

If you want to hear more about our culture in light of the Gospel this show is for you.

4. Whoa That’s Good

This show is another one of my most listened to podcasts. Sadie Robertson Huff is easy to listen to, loves Jesus, and has incredible guests on her show as well. I look forward to her new episodes every week and it impacts me in everyday, mundane things.

Some of my favorite shows she releases are the “Messy Conversations” with her mom Korie and her husband, Christian. These episodes are discussions about controversial topics like modesty or dating. Other favorite episodes are “Sisters and Friends” where she has women close to her talk about difficult seasons they have endured or about the everyday joys in their lives. I respect Sadie’s vulnerability and heart to share the hope of Jesus Christ with others.

This podcast is a great show for those who want to feel like they are getting coffee with a friend. :)

5. The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast

Growing up I remember watching a lot of the reality TV show 19 Kids and Counting. While this podcast is fairly new I always taste a hint of nostalgia when I listen to this show.

New episodes release on Wednesdays and I almost always give them an immediate listen. The Vuolos’ relationship with the Lord is where their primary affection is placed and that is evident. Also, while I am not a parent I enjoy hearing how they navigate life as a family of five.

I love that this podcast is an easy listen whether I am driving or working out at the gym.

6. Takeaways with Kirk Cameron

Kirk Cameron’s podcast is a high recommendation on my list. He brings incredible speakers on his podcast and Cameron himself is solid in his Christian beliefs.

I enjoy how personable Kirk is and am intrigued by his intentional questions.

His guests vary from music artists, writers, actors, and pastors, etc. I love the different perspectives and experiences each offers. If I had to choose some of my favorite episodes, it would be his conversations with Lee Strobel, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, Joni Eareckson Tada, his sister Candace Cameron Bure, and Phil and Kay Robertson.

7. Passion City Church Podcast and Passion City Church DC Podcast

Both of these podcasts are from two different Passion City Church Locations. Louie Giglio, who pastors the church location in Atlanta, and Ben Stuart, who preaches in Washington D.C., are two of my favorites.  Both men carefully and articulately preach the Scriptures with boldness and clarity. Louie has a zealous heart for the next generation and is unashamed to coach young believers to run after God.

Ben Stuart also has a similar mindset. His wit makes him an easy person to connect with and he is unashamed to preach the Gospel boldly.

This podcast also has other preachers and special guests share. Right now I am going through a great message from David Platt on the Passion City Church Podcast. I often listen to these sermons on a Sunday morning or when I go on a walk. These two podcasts are excellent if you want to listen to some solid sermons.

8. Becoming Something

Throughout the week I will often listen to “JP” Jonathan Pokluda, Nate Hilgenkamp, and Kathy Davidson as they dive into controversial or popular topics about Christianity and secularism.  Similar to Ask Pastor John these hosts answer real questions from their listeners. This podcast is also aimed towards young adults in their 20s and 30s.

I truly appreciate their honesty and heart to take deep topics and align their answers to what God says. They also have some amazing guests as well.

This podcast is an easy listen and will motivate you to understand what God’s word says.

9. Stay True with Madison Prewett Troutt

Madison Prewett Troutt, who was a previous contestant on The Bachelor, is a bold voice in this dark world. The name of her podcast stands true as she proclaims the truth of the Gospel to the lost.

Madi’s fun personality and genuine care for her listeners are evident in her voice. Her heart to proclaim Christ and detect lies is inspiring. Madi is such a beautiful role model and is open about her struggles and proclaims her testimony. She also will oftentimes have her husband, Grant, join her on the podcast who is also sprinting after Jesus.

If you want to be encouraged by a sister in Christ the Stay True podcast is the way to go!

10. That Sounds Fun

That Sounds Fun with Annie F. Downs has the appropriate show title. With over 1,000 different episodes and a wide array of guests, you will have no problem finding one to enjoy. While I may not agree with the perspective of everyone she interviews, there are many that I glean from. Each episode has its own mix of joy and depth. Annie in most if not every episode will ask her guest, “What sounds fun to you?” Whether their response may be from skydiving to gardening it exposes the gift of finding joy in everyday things.

Fun may be highlighted in the episodes but grief and faith in God are also surreal. From miscarriage, divorce, death, and anxiety each person on the show has their testimony of grief and joy. I respect and admire how Annie does not avoid the hard and recognizes God’s presence in the highs and lows.

This podcast offers so much with a wide variety of topics! I can guarantee you that you will find many conversations that are interesting and formative for your life.
